Survivors' Scholarship Program
Program Description:
Survivors' Power is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of sexual violence access trauma-informed mental health care. Through our Survivors' Scholarship program, we provide financial support for survivors aged seven and older to receive treatment at Ignite Counseling and Equine Psychotherapy™ in Cave Creek, Arizona.
Having health insurance does not disqualify you from applying. If you are unable to cover the remaining balance after insurance, you are still eligible for scholarship consideration.
Specific Program Outline:
The Survivors' Scholarship program takes place at Ignite Counseling and Equine Psychotherapy™. This six-month program provides $5,000 in comprehensive support per recipient. Participants engage in weekly 50-minute counseling sessions, with scheduling collaboratively determined by the survivor and their provider to ensure personalized, flexible care.
Please note:
If awarded, scholarship funds are paid directly to Ignite Counseling and Equine Psychotherapy™ to cover the cost of treatment, ensuring transparency and proper use of resources.
Minors (ages 7–17) require parent or guardian permission to participate. If obtaining consent is not possible due to safety or other concerns, please contact us directly at info@survivorspower.org so we can discuss your situation privately.
Our goal is to remove financial barriers and support long-term healing for those affected by sexual violence. We believe access to mental health care is essential, not optional.
