Mental Health is Health Program
Program Description:
Survivors' Power is committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence by facilitating access to affordable mental health care. Through our "Mental Health is Health" program, we provide scholarships to survivors, enabling them to receive the specialized mental health services they need to heal and recover. We recognize that trauma from sexual violence can have profound impacts on both mental and physical well-being, and our program seeks to alleviate some of the financial barriers that prevent survivors from accessing vital care.
Our scholarships are available to individuals aged 13 and older throughout Arizona, providing financial assistance to access treatment at accredited mental health facilities such as The Meadows Behavioral Healthcare's intensive outpatient programs in Scottsdale, AZ. While we do not provide direct mental health services, we partner with reputable healthcare providers to ensure that survivors receive high-quality care tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to our scholarship program, Survivors' Power hosts annual events to raise funds and increase awareness about the importance of mental health support for survivors of sexual violence. Up to 10% of the proceeds from these events are donated to other nonprofit organizations in Arizona that share our mission to support and empower survivors.
At Survivors' Power, we believe that mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being. Our "Mental Health is Health" program is dedicated to helping survivors overcome financial obstacles to care and fostering a supportive community that promotes holistic healing and recovery.
